Lesson in Flight
Mr.
Karsten and Mr. Daoud were kind enough to come in and
give a presentation to third grade science class. The
third grade is presently studying a science unit on
flight and both Mr. Karsten and Mr. Daoud are experienced
pilots who were able to bring a real world experience
to the unit on flight. The guest speakers spoke on concepts
that third grade is studying such as drag, thrust, lift
and gravity. Their experience and knowledge led to a
lively question and answer period! This was a very educational
and exciting experience for third grade students and
we appreciated their time spent with us.
