Windermere Prep Second Grader Wins Opening Leg of USKG Orlando Tour

Seven-year-old Windermere Prep Second Grader Sully Zagerman poses with his golf instructor Kenny Nairn at Celebration Golf Academy.

Seven year old Sully Zagerman shot a five under par 31 to place first (in seven-year-olds division) in the opening leg of this year’s U.S. Kids Golf Orlando Tour, at Lake Orlando. Second place was six strokes back at 37. Sully will compete in the next leg of the Orlando Tour on June 5, at Wedgefield Country Club

With this win the Windermere Prep second grader can continue boasting that he is undefeated in USKG competition in the state of Florida, in his division. Last summer Sully won the U.S. Kids Florida State Championship in the six and under division, and also achieved world ranking by placing 11th in the 2005 Callaway Junior World Golf Championship, in San Diego.

Two weeks prior to his Lake Orlando win, Sully sank the third hole in one of his career on the first hole of the Celebration Junior Course. Sully, who won the Celebration Town Championship last December for the second year in a row, practices and plays at Celebration Golf Academy. He is instructed by PGA and former European tour player, Kenny Nairn, a native of St. Andrews, Scotland. He is the son of Barry and Debby Zagerman of Cypress Landing.
