Prep Second Grader Wins Opening Leg of USKG Orlando

Seven year old Sully Zagerman shot
a five under par 31 to place first (in seven-year-olds
division) in the opening leg of this year’s U.S.
Kids Golf Orlando Tour, at Lake Orlando. Second place
was six strokes back at 37. Sully will compete in the
next leg of the Orlando Tour on June 5, at Wedgefield
Country Club
With this win the Windermere Prep second
grader can continue boasting that he is undefeated in
USKG competition in the state of Florida, in his division.
Last summer Sully won the U.S. Kids Florida State Championship
in the six and under division, and also achieved world
ranking by placing 11th in the 2005 Callaway Junior
World Golf Championship, in San Diego.
Two weeks prior to his Lake Orlando win, Sully sank
the third hole in one of his career on the first hole
of the Celebration Junior Course. Sully, who won the
Celebration Town Championship last December for the
second year in a row, practices and plays at Celebration
Golf Academy. He is instructed by PGA and former European
tour player, Kenny Nairn, a native of St. Andrews, Scotland.
He is the son of Barry and Debby Zagerman of Cypress
Landing.
