The Book Fair is Coming!!!

Question:  What do summer reading lists have in common with students creating and building their own books?  Answer:  Both will be available at the Scholastic Book Fair which begins on Monday, May 14!

The books on the WPS summer reading lists for grades PK4 – 8th will be available for purchase at the Book Fair for the very first time.  These books will be available in limited quantities, so be sure to stop by early in the week of the fair to get your books!

In addition, students will have the opportunity to work with their parents to “build a book.”  This is called the Klutz Build-a-Book Event, and it will be held on Friday evening, May 18th during the WPVA-sponsored picnic here on campus.  This isn’t just writing a book – it’s “building” a book, complete with craft materials, glue, and even googly eyes.  If you cannot attend the picnic, you may still order the kits to do at home.  In addition, they are great ideas for birthday parties, sleepovers, handmade gifts, etc.  Order forms for these kits were sent home with students, but if you need another one please contact Helene Valentine at helene.valentine@windermereprep.com.
