ADMISSIONS
Windermere
Preparatory School seeks to enroll those educationally motivated
students who will contribute character, ability, and enthusiasm
to the school and its programs. In evaluating applications,
attention is paid to the student's previous academic record,
teacher recommendations, standardized test scores, a personal
interview, and the results of an admissions test.
In
assessing the whole child, the Admissions Committee also takes
into consideration social-emotional development, interests,
talents, and extra curricular achievements. Another consideration,
integral to the final admissions decision, is the perceived
degree of congruence between the needs of the applicant and
the school's ability to address those needs in a quality fashion.
The ultimate goal of the selective/competitive admissions
process is to assemble a student body capable of successfully
meeting the expectations and dealing with the rigor of the
college preparatory academic program.
A
selective and competitive admissions/registration process
in ongoing. Applications will be accepted on a rolling admission
and space available basis. Windermere Preparatory school admits
students without regard to race, ethnic background, gender,
national origin, or religion.
An
Admissions Committee will review all information gathered
in the admissions process. Test results, as well as the admissions
decision, will be shared with the parents in a timely manner.
