ABOUT OUR PRIVATE SCHOOL IN ORLANDO

At Windermere Prep, your child can be who they are and mature into the person they aspire to become. Our world-class teachers strategically personalize instruction to each student’s interests, needs, and goals to build experiences centered on problem solving and critical thinking skills within an individual framework. 

At our private school in Orlando, we holistically emphasize components of intellectual, personal, emotional, and social growth, which we support through many resources and extracurricular activities. We have great diversity in our classrooms, and as a significant part of our learning environment, our students experience different cultures.

Windermere Preparatory School opened in 2000 with 175 students from Pre-K to 9th grade. Every year since, we added a grade, and by 2004, Windermere Prep had its first graduates. 

Four charter students — students who attended from Preschool until graduation — graduated in 2014, making way for fellow Lakers to also make their mark on our school. We now have over 1,000 alumni. Every year, we proudly recognize “Laker Lifers” for their 13 or 14 continuous years of study and growth at WPS.
 
Windermere Prep is also proud to be the only school in Central Florida to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program, a gold-standard curriculum for our high school students to capstone their academic and personal achievements. This highly regarded, globally recognized academic program sets them apart when applying to college.
